We were commissioned to write the content for two magazines for the University of Salford - one aimed at alumni and the other at students, staff and others who have an interest in the University.
The client provided base content which included a mixture of draft articles and links to source content, such as research and web copy. We collated all information and wrote the articles from scratch, reviewing and editing in line with client brand guidelines and our quality management system.
Each magazine featured around 30 articles. We created a content log, which we shared with the client, to track our progress on each article. The final articles were supplied ahead of deadline with annotated design ideas, so the client's internal design studio could create the magazine artwork.

The content was signed off first time. We have since been directly commissioned to create the subsequent editions of the magazines.
The success with the magazines has seen us become the University of Salford’s go-to supplier for external copywriting services.
We interviewed one of the Salford alumni, Jason Manford, over the telephone, so we could write the article on the back of this.
By following this approach, we created a simply yet innovative solution to the university's request.
