The challenge

NSPCC was looking to create a 3-year roadmap to bridge the gap between their 10-year strategy and their annual priorities in a clear and engaging way. 

They commissioned us to write a narrative and create accompanying visuals for them to use to communicate this roadmap to internal and external stakeholders.

The solution

We began by holding a workshop with the client to dig a little deeper. We then created three design concepts and pulled together the overall structure of the narrative. As our client had a lot of different stakeholders to consult, we had regular feedback meetings to help us consolidate feedback from across all levels in order to make sure that we got the final design concept and narrative just right. The roadmap also needed to be flexible in order to reflect a rolling 3-year roadmap that would be updated each year. 

We created a design style that was very easily adaptable to represent the changing priorities. We provided our client with an 800-word narrative to use in all future communications, as well as a 2-page roadmap overview document. This visually engaging document set out what the rolling 3-year roadmap would set out to achieve, using call out boxes and illustration to make the information visually digestible.

The impact

As the NSPCC’s internal and external stakeholders ranged across a wide variety of company levels, we created assets that spoken everyone’s language.
