New Business Manager/Client Onboarding Manager

We're looking for a proven client services/business development professional to help us win new customers in our target segments.

£30,000 - £35,000 • Full-time • Permanent

As an agency we get lots of inbound leads, so your role will be to qualify, nurture and convert these leads. This will involve developing good relationships with them, understanding their marketing challenges, identifying opportunities for us to work together and preparing compelling proposals and pitches to bring them onboard. You’ll do this by working collaboratively with the wider agency team - to set us up for success with new customers from the start.


Achieve new business revenue targets

Nurture and close leads.

Examine prospects' businesses, audiences and marketplaces to really get to know their brands and understand their challenges and objectives.

Work with the wider team (including marketing strategists and creatives) to develop innovative and effective solutions to prospects' marketing challenges.

Develop compelling written proposals to sell in these solutions.

Develop and deliver compelling presentations to sell in these solutions.

Develop robust pricing options for these solutions.

Work collaboratively with the wider team to effectively onboard new clients.

Lead the creation of sales tools e.g. credentials, showreels, etc.

Activate a customer referral programme.

Analyse and report on the performance of new business activity.

Comply with company systems and processes.


  • Confident new business professional with a passion for solving customer challenges
  • Strong personal accountability and drive - with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload - ensuring quality is never compromised
  • A solid understanding of all areas of the marketing mix, so you can talk confidently about our services.
  • A proactive team player, great at developing relationships – with colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - with the ability to make complex simple
  • Comfortable working within established agency systems and processes
  • A strategic thinker with good commercial accumen


Essential Experience

  • A proven track record of successful new business performance in a professional services/marketing/media/technology environment
  • Experience of following established sales processes

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of using HubSpot
